About this experience
Experience the magic of the Arctic on this unforgettable 4-hour husky safari in Rovaniemi. Your adventure begins with a scenic transfer through snowy forests to the husky farm, where you’ll be provided with premium thermal winter clothing before meeting the eager sled dogs.
After a short introduction and driving lesson, set off on an exciting 10 km husky safari through beautiful Arctic scenery. Two guests share each sled, with one driving and the other riding as a passenger. Halfway through the ride, drivers and passengers swap places so both can enjoy the experience of guiding the husky team.
While part of the group is out on the trail, the others can relax inside a traditional Lappish kota with hot berry juice and gingerbread while learning more about huskies and life at the farm from local guides.
After the safari, there is time to meet the dogs, take photos, and hear stories about the huskies before returning to Rovaniemi.
Suitable for families with children aged 3+, couples, and solo travelers, this experience combines adventure, authentic Arctic culture, and unforgettable winter landscapes.

Meet & Gear Up
Arrive at our central office at Korkalonkatu 36 (or join pickup) and get fitted with insulated jackets, pants, boots & gloves.

Husky Safari (10 km)
One half begins with a short sled-driving lesson before heading off on the husky safari (10 km / ~25–45 min). Each sled fits 2 adults and 1–2 small children, and you can switch drivers at the halfway point. The other half heads into a cozy kota (traditional Lappish hut) for warm drinks, biscuits, and an introduction to husky life from our experienced local guides. After the first round, the groups switch.
Meet the Huskies & Warm Up in a Traditional Kota
After the safari, you’ll have time to meet, pet, and photograph the friendly huskies while also seeing where they live and train. Afterwards, head inside a warm traditional kota where hot juice and biscuits are served by the fire. During the break, the farm owner shares stories about the dogs, their daily lives, racing background, and passion for husky competitions.
Return to Rovaniemi
After warming up and enjoying time at the farm, we begin the comfortable drive back to Rovaniemi. Once back in the city, winter clothing is returned before final drop-offs at your accommodation or the office.
