Aurora Train at Night

Your evening begins with optional pickups from selected accommodations in Rovaniemi or direct arrival at the train station. Upon arrival, you’ll board the historic Aurora Train, where a cozy atmosphere, festive decorations, and welcoming staff set the stage for a magical Arctic journey.

As the train departs toward Kemijärvi, enjoy the nostalgic charm of traditional rail travel. A conductor checks tickets in classic old-fashioned style while hot drinks and biscuits are served onboard. Guests can also purchase additional snacks and beverages from the trolley service during the journey.

Throughout the ride, acrobatic elves move through the carriages performing playful stunts and entertaining guests of all ages. The lively onboard atmosphere creates a fun and memorable experience for families, children, and adults alike.

Upon arrival in Kemijärvi, step into the snowy Arctic night for a festive outdoor experience. Watch an exciting fire show performance, join fun snowball throwing competitions for children, and keep an eye on the sky for a chance to spot the magical Northern Lights.

The train continues toward Misi, known as an excellent location for viewing the Aurora Borealis. During the stop, guests can search for the Northern Lights and take photos of the peaceful Arctic scenery. Before departure, Santa Claus boards the train, giving everyone the opportunity to meet him personally and take memorable photos together.

After a magical evening of winter landscapes, festive entertainment, and hopefully Northern Lights sightings, the Aurora Train returns to Rovaniemi. Guests are then transported back to their accommodations with unforgettable memories of a truly unique Lapland experience.
